Gateway Outreach, Sri Lanka & IndiaSri Lanka Slideshow

GOD GOT A HOLD OF FOUNDER Aaron Burke early! By the time Aaron was 13 years old, he had already been on his first mission trip. God began to birth dreams in his heart of nations he could reach for the Kingdom. Aaron made a commitment to overseas ministry, joining the work of Asiana Education Development to organize children and youth programs at their various school locations. On furlough during Christmas of 2005, he began to work on ways to funnel resources and supplies to the burdened churches and pastors in South Asia. In 2006 returning to Sri Lanka with a bigger vision under the auspices of Gateway Outreach (GO), Aaron has established the first pastors network in the country. Expanding the horizons of the Gopsel going forth across the nations, in the summer of 2006, Gateway began work in India with Christian Outreach Ministry to support local pastors and missionaries and eventually sponsoring and participating in training seminars in several states in India.

Sunshine After Rain Ministries contributed funds for Pastor Amila Sandaruwan to come to the United States and escape an imminent threat to his life by extremists persecuting Christians in the area. He is currently working at the Gateway Outreach Thrift Store in Pensacola, Florida which directly supports the orphanage with proceeds from sales. He is also administer and developer of the child sponsorship program.

Anamadura Children’s Home

In 2005, while visiting the church at Anamadura, Aaron saw young orphan boys sleeping on the floor of the pastor's home. Abandoned by their community and left at the "doorstep" of the church, the pastor and his wife took in these homeless children and were doing their best to provide for them.

Through prayer and the tireless efforts of the staff of GO, start-up funding was given through Sunshine After Rain Ministries to break ground on a new home for these orphans. Free architectural services have been commissioned and the project is well underway, eventually housing up to 40 children.
